Eau de Parfum vs Eau de Toilette: What Is the Difference?

When shopping for perfume, you will often see terms such as Eau de Parfum (EDP) and Eau de Toilette
(EDT). The main difference is fragrance concentration. Eau de Parfum generally contains a higher
concentration of aromatic ingredients than Eau de Toilette, which often means EDP can provide a richer
and longer-lasting fragrance experience.
Eau de Toilette is usually lighter and can be a great choice for daytime, warm weather, or casual
occasions. Eau de Parfum may be preferred for evenings, colder seasons, or situations where you want
your fragrance to last longer.
However, concentration is not the only factor affecting longevity. Ingredients, skin chemistry,
application, and environmental conditions also matter.
If you prefer a noticeable and long-lasting scent, EDP may be the better option. If you want something
lighter and fresher, EDT could be ideal.
